A little while ago, I did some simple tests on a new blog to demonstrate an easy way that anybody can do in order to get some instant free traffic to their website. A very simple technique by blogging about keyphrases that hits the google trends combined with some quick methods of indexing. I decided to wait a little bit to see what would happen in the coming weeks after this technique was applied.
So whats the point of this?
Well, it simply reiterates that content is king and YOU are the best person to optimise your website. If you apply this technique yourself on a daily basis (5 mins work a day) your traffic will increase.
If you pay some one to do it for you then you will only get X amount of researched blog posts per month (and that's even if they do offer this particular service - which I doubt!), many great phrases will slip by unnoticed in the trends, some will hit and some will miss, some will be badly written and irrelevant to your business.
All you need to do is this:
Follow google trends closely and create a new blog on word press and blog about any phrase that has a low amount of competing pages (under 20 using a phrase match search)that is relative to your business, create a link to your site from the post and voila its done......
Whenever you do it you get traffic!
