Google want to patent mobile commerce

Google owes its success to placing advertising to place unreached before.

Last week Google applied for a patent for billing by SMS or Text Message Payment. This recent move reiterates Google's intention of taking over the world of mobile commerce after they purchased Grand Central - a mobile software platform this June.

So what does this mean?
Well looking at what Google has done for the internet we can be rest assured that the mobile network is about to get far more interesting. Developing suitable sites and applications aimed at this industry can only be very financially beneficial.
